Peach Riot

We directed and produced a four-part animated series for the Chinese toy company PopMart, bringing to life one of their most beloved figure collections: Peach Riot — a punk trio of wildly unconventional high schoolers who are all about breaking expectations, chasing dreams, and turning up the volume.
Rooted in pop-punk California vibes, each episode dives into the personalities and chaotic charm of Gigi, Frankie, and Poppy. Their band isn’t just loud — it’s a lifestyle, and every frame pulses with their attitude.

Episodes 1–3 spotlight each band member individually, capturing their quirks, moods, and messy brilliance. In Episode 4, the and hits the stage for their first gig — a high-energy performance packed with dynamic typography, rhythm-driven motion, and the raw personality that defines Peach Riot.
Visually, the series draws inspiration from the bold spirit of early 2000s cartoons, with a fresh, rebellious twist. Staying true to the modern, carefree style of Libby Frame — the artist and creative force behind Peach Riot — we focused on amplifying the essence of her designs without losing their authenticity. Clean lines ensure fast readability, while exaggerated facial expressions bring humor and heart to every.

The biggest challenge? Keeping it real. We had to honor the original IP’s tone, visual world, and character design while injecting just the right dose of humor, energy, and edge, to create something that feels fresh and fun.
